Rosaleen Agnew and Pauric Dunne in “Melody”A troupe from Northern Ireland has been in touch with FEATS with a view to making contact with English-speaking groups in continental Europe.

Lurig Drama Group recently won the 77th British Final Festival of One-Act Plays with their production of Melody by Deirdre Kinahan.

FEATS rules exclude UK-based groups from entering the FEATS festival; nevertheless, there may be other opportunities for exchanging knowledge, ideas and experiences.

Congratulations, NWTC!

This year’s FEATS winners, NWTC, were invited to take their production of David Mamet’s Jolly to the British All Winners festival in Essex. And they came away with a prize.

Full steam ahead for the FEATS 2010 publicity machine

FEATS 2010 posterThe FEATS 2010 poster (left) can now be downloaded as a PDF file for e-mailing or posting on Web pages.

Meanwhile, the first major deadline is approaching for the participating groups, who have to submit their questionnaires by 19 March. On the basis of the replies, the Bad Homburg team can begin to work out a running order, which tries to take into consideration the length and the technical requirements of each production, the performance slots preferred by each group, and – last but certainly not least – the need to produce a balanced programme.

A new FEATS trophy

The “best play” award at FEATS 2010 will be a new trophy, the Founders’ Cup, donated by AATG.
